Mila is 17 Months!

A little throwback to doing her monthly pictures for the first year.   Part of me misses this - seeing her little milestones and changes as she grows.  Recording her stages.  The other part of me knows how exhausting it was to get the last couple of month's pictures.  

Milestones:
I say momma, dadda, bye-bye, uh-oh, touchdown (thanks, Dad), thank you, that, tada.
I sign please, more, love you, milk, bye bye.
I am cutting teeth number 13 and 14.
I can careen the stairs like a pro.
I am obsessed with the show Beat Bugs.
I love coloring, playing outside, playing in boxes.
I wear size 24 months/2T.
I just got new size 6 shoes today!
I grab Mom and Dad's hands to drag them around the house.
I can count to 3!
I can show "1" when counting to 3.

Mila is One Year!

Obviously, a little late...

Milestones:
I weigh 23.5 pounds and am 29.5 inches tall. 
I walk all over the house. 
I am cutting two molars. 
I had my last bottle of formula and am on to whole milk. 
I crawl up the stairs and am learning to crawl down.
I get my own snacks out of the pantry when I'm hungry.
I love my tea party set Mom and Dad got me for my birthday.
I love to pull all of my books off the shelves. 

Mila is 10 Months!

Milestones:
I play peek-a-boo all the time. 

I love Lift the Flap books.

I push my walker and train all over the place. 

I never sit still. 

I went on my first vacation to Okoboji. 

I love the swings at the park. 

Mila is 9 Months!

Milestones:
I love strawberries.  They are my favorite, though I eat anything. 
I wave goodbye and hello. 
I stand by myself without touching anything for a nanosecond. 
I LOVE the water and went to my first swim lessons with Mom.
I sleep 12-13 hours a night, but still fight taking naps during the day. 

I have the cutest nasal laugh through my nose. 

I went to story time with Mom (this summer stuff is pretty cool).

I have two more teeth and working on two beyond that for a total of six! 

So many teeth! 

Mila is 8 Months!

Milestones:
I stand.  Constantly.  Dad had to lower the crib mattress already.   
I have to be on the move.  There is no sitting still.
I try to walk between the couch, ottoman, and coffee table.  
I chat with lots of stories and an occasional "da-da" and "ma-ma."
I fight taking naps because I don't want to miss anything.
I have nearly mastered my pincer grab.
I try new solid foods all the time.
I went on my first overnight trip out of town with Mom and Dad to Williamsburg.  
I went to the splash pad for the first time.

Mila is 7 Months!

Milestones:
I have two teeth that popped! 
I army crawl all over the house and am almost on my hands and knees. 
I pick my books over my toys just like my mom.
I am working on my pincer grab to pick up puffs and small bites.
I try to crawl up my toys to stand (or the ottoman at Grandma and Grandpa's). 
I love chasing Coco around the house even if Coco doesn't like it. 
I put everything in my mouth.
I wiggle, flip, and turn all the time, especially during diaper changes. 
I decided I am too old for a morning nap even though Mom and Dad disagree.

Two teeth! 

Mila is 6 Months!

Milestones:
~ eating all kinds of yummy baby food; avocados and sweet potatoes are my favorite
~ sitting up on my own
~ exploring the textures of everything
~ kicking and splashing in my bath like crazy, still
~ crawling and spinning all around, especially for Mom's phone
~ trying to play Dad's video game with him
~ going to Baby and Me yoga with Mom
~ spending the night with grandma and grandpa for the first time

Mila is 5 Months!

Milestones:
~ chatting non stop, so many stories to tell!
~ playing with my piggy toes
~ rolling over every which way 
~ scooting across the floor to get my toys (I'll figure out this crawling thing before Mom and Dad are ready for me to)
~ eating rice cereal for the first time
~ growing too tall for my three to six month sleepers
~ fighting my first official virus
~ petting Coco nice and gentle
~ standing to get my legs stronger and stronger 

Mila is 4 Months!

Milestones:
~ thirteen pounds and ten ounces; twenty five and half inches long 
~ working my core by trying to sit up all the time (rolling back to front is coming so so soon!)
~ grabbing and swatting toys from my play mat 
~ helping Mom turn pages when we get to read books
~ reaching for my legs and almost catching my toes
~ spinning myself around on the floor from one direction to another (especially to see the tv better)
~ chewing on my fingers, Mom's fingers, toys, and teethers 
~ giggling, smiling, cooing, and talking constantly!
